Several years ago, East White Oak adopted Irving Elementary School in west Bloomington and formed a partnership with them to love and nurture students. This ministry is now under the oversight of our church plant, Living Stone Communities. There is an ongoing relationship with the staff and teachers at the school.

Breakfast foods and snacks for students at Irving Elementary School
Many of the boys and girls in the lower elementary school classes come to school having had no breakfast, and, sometimes, little since lunch at school the previous day. The classroom teachers at Irving Elementary School attempt to provide nourishing breakfast items and other snacks during the day.
- Juice drinks (boxes or pouches)
- Granola Thins
- Mini Pretzel Packs
- Cheese and Crackers
- Mini boxes of cereal
- Teddy Graham Crackers
- Microwave Popcorn
- Animal Crackers
BOX TOPS for Education
We are collecting Box Tops for Education coupons for Irving School. You can bring your box tops to the West Bloomington Outreach table in the long hallway and put them in the container. Thanks so much for your help! You can see the complete list of items that have box top coupons by following the link below.
Lunch/Snacks for Teachers and Staff
We will plan to provide lunch and/or snacks for the staff at Irving Elementary each month during the school year. We need your help to provide homemade treats!
In partnership with Midwest Food Bank, we provide backpacks with food each week for families that qualify. If you would like to participate this fall in the Thursday morning packing/loading of these bags, please contact Sharryn Swanson.
Contact Sharryn Swanson for more information on any of the these opportunities.
