The East White Oak Bible Church Library is a resource ministry working in cooperation with all other East White Oak ministries under the direction of the church leadership. The library ministers to the congregation by providing a broad range of print and non-print resources, recognizing that the Bible should be the foremost resource for everyone.
Library materials are provided for the purpose of:
- Developing fellowship with God through a personal, saving relationship with Jesus Christ
- Stimulating and fostering Christian growth
- Providing encouragement and instruction in Christian living
- Increasing knowledge and understanding of the Bible
- Providing biblically-sound answers to questions
- Supporting other East White Oak ministries
A choice of over 6,000 quality Christian books, DVDs, CDs and magazines is offered free of charge at the East White Oak Bible Church Library. The library provides the congregation a broad range of resources to develop, encourage and instruct in Christian growth, Christian living, and biblical knowledge and understanding.
The library is packed with a large variety of materials for all age groups--children, youth, teens and adults. Bookshelves are labeled by age group and subject. Subjects include Marriage, Parenting, Bible Commentary, Biography, Fiction and many more. New resources are added to the inventory every month.
Conveniently located near the sanctuary, the library is open whenever the church is open for browsing or checking out items. Check-out procedures are posted on the bulletin board in the library.
The library is for the benefit of all in the congregation, and any item removed from the library is to be checked out and returned in good condition. Check-out periods are three weeks for books and one week for magazines and non-print materials.
Donations of Christian books, DVDs and CDs are welcome. To be suitable for circulation, donations must be in good condition, current (copyrighted within the last 15 years), unmarked and in agreement with East White Oak Bible Church doctrine.
