Senior Saints
EWO is blessed to have a very rich heritage in our senior adults from Bloomington, Normal and surrounding communities. Their wisdom and faithfulness offer great and godly assets to our church body. We love our Senior SAINTS (Senior Adults in New Testament Service) and offer monthly opportunities for them to gather around a meal and enjoy a program as well as encouraging fellowship.
Are you wondering if you are a Senior Saint? This ministry is open to all adults who are available to meet with us for lunch. Ages vary from 55 - 95+. We usually meet the 4th Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM. We enjoy fellowship, food and a program at various locations around the Bloomington - Normal area.
In addition to monthly luncheons and service projects in the Bloomington - Normal area, there are a variety of other ministries available to our seniors.
CD Ministry
Sunday sermons are delivered to shut-ins in the Bloomington - Normal area .
Visitation Ministry
Visits are made by our pastoral staff to our shut-ins. Communion is available, if desired.
Card Ministry
Greeting cards are sent as an encouragement to the recipient.
Adopt a Saint Ministry
A small group Bible study adopts a senior couple or single, building a close and caring relationship.
Birthday Ministry
Each senior is honored as we celebrate birthdays quarterly at our gatherings.
Soldier Ministry
Love boxes are sent to our soldiers from the Senior Saints ministry.
