The preschool staff at East White Oak Bible Church desires that the children begin at the earliest of ages to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. Because of this, preschool teachers are passionate about establishing a solid, Biblical foundation of truth on which the children can build their lives. Their prayer is that the children will know the love of Christ as they participate in classes. Children who are 3 years old by August 31 of the current year and who have not yet started Kindergarten are welcome to attend preschool classes. All preschool classes are staffed by teachers who have been screened and approved to teach the children.
Kids Under Construction, 9:00 AM
Using a custom-developed curriculum Kids Under Construction teaches 3, 4, and 5 year olds about specific character traits and attributes of God. Along with teaching the children about who God is, we seek to teach them how we, as followers of Christ, should respond to Him by the way we live our lives. Unit lessons include God Is Kind, God Is Faithful, God Is Loving, and God Is Omnipresent (everywhere in preschool terms!), a study of missions and many more! The children participate in a large group teaching time, and then break up into smaller groups to rotate through craft, game and story/snack stations that enhance the lesson for the day.
Preschool Sunday School, 10:30 AM
At 10:30 a.m. the preschool aged children are divided into three age specific classes. Each class uses curriculum which speaks to their age specific “learn by doing” nature and helps to plant God’s Word deep in their hearts. Bible stories, crafts, songs, snacks, games and puppet shows are all enjoyed as the children explore God’s Word.
The Shepherd’s Sheep are the youngest of the preschool group (with birthdays from 8/31/12-8/13) and meet in room 141. Lesson units include Creation, God Hears Prayer, Jesus Heals Hurt People, Jesus Is the Good Shepherd, and Paul and Silas Worship God.
The oldest of the preschoolers (with birthdays between 8/31/11 and 7/12) meet in room 149. The Hallelujah Hoppers learn from God’s Word with units exploring Moses Leads the Israelites, The 10 Commandments, Jonah, Jesus Teaches Those He Loves, and Jesus Does What Pleases God.
